I broke the code:

I've spent hours trying to figure this out, I'd love to see how you did it.

Ok I'll spoil it:

On the 5th file look at the code words that aren't crossed out (in the first row). Find them on inner and outer wheel and line them up. Then rotate the wheel to where all 13 consonants on the screen are unique (with aurum one row off the screen). Now the symbols match up with the letters so you can translate.

I assume the same works for the next 2 paragraphs, I'm going to start on the third now.

There's a lot more information here I didn't use like the prime numbers, the shaded regions and the notes at the bottom.

All that is left now is deciphering the notes he left on the bottom right of the triple-paragraph paper.

I bet there's another code within this letter, something to do with the prime numbers. I assume those are Gideon's notes in the bottom right.

My goal is to find a cipher that will translate the notes. The other document housed the cipher for each of the paragraphs... but they were all useless for the notes.

Why did he preempt both sets of primes with the letter 't'?

The wheel contains shaded regions with lengths that match the primes: 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13. There's also checkered regions of length 2 and 17.
